by Rick Dupont

If you ever think that someone may have stolen your identity and want to do something about it, you are of course going to want to move fast and put in a fraud and identity theft complaint. This is a fraud and identity theft complaint that you will be putting into the proper authorities, who will then take the appropriate steps in order to find out whether or not your identity has been stolen.

If so they will then take the necessary steps towards finding this criminal who has stolen your identity and pressing the necessary charges against them.

What it is

To understand how serious it is to put in a fraud and identity theft complaint, you are going to need to learn more about the identity theft crime itself and what it involves. This is actually one of the most serious crimes of its sort, and is taken especially seriously because of how common a crime it is becoming.

The complaints about Internet fraud that are being made each day number in thousands. That is definitely a huge number, but you have to know that not all of these are genuine cases. In most cases, the people who make the complaints are mistaken. They think that someone is playing with their vital information when actually it is they themselves who have forgotten that they have made a particular purchase or something like that.

You will certainly not get in trouble for this because it is not actually the police that you are contacting when you are putting in a fraud and identity theft complaint, so you don’t have to worry about that, and it is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to a crime like identity theft.

These people are quite aware that identity theft is quite a big scare today and perfectly understand if people think their identities have been stolen even if they really haven’t.

They know that you will be better off by being careful and putting in a complaint and getting them on the case, just to make sure that someone has not stolen your identity. Besides doing this, there are other important steps that you want to take as well in order to prevent yourself from being a victim of identity theft.

You must always keep watch over your credit card bills. You have to see that there are no uncanny purchases mentioned or some online payments mentioned that you did not make. Looking at these regularly keeps you on your guard and may protect you from a real case of identity theft. Being careful always pays.

Computer – What To Look For In A Computer Monitor

by Rudolf Bauer

A computer monitor is important for any computer because it is what brings the world of computers to people visually. There are all sorts of different things to use for a computer monitor. Among the things to look for in a computer monitor, include the resolution of the monitor, its size, the type of display and the refresh calibre of the monitor. The size of the pixels in the monitor should also be considered when you are considering what to look for in a computer monitor.

The first thing to look for in a computer monitor is the resolution quality of the monitor. The resolution is based on the number of pixels that are in the monitor screen. When there are more pixels in the monitor the resolution will be better. For instance, a monitor with a resolution of 1600×1280 is better than a 1280×1024 monitor. The horizontal number of pixels is listed first followed by the vertical number.

The next thing to look for in a computer monitor is the size of the monitor. The size of the monitor will refer to how big the screen is from a diagonal measurement. Sixteen-inch monitors are favourite but there are other sizes acquirable at typical stores that sell computer monitors. When looking for the monitor that has the right screen size the ability of the individual to read what is on the monitor should be greatly considered.

Cathode ray tubes are used in larger monitors that have picture tubes working to display images. Liquid crystal display monitors are becoming more popular. This uses a liquid film to display images and is incredibly popular because of the thinner size of the monitor. It should be noted that the display type is going to make an impact on the colors in the monitor. A cathode ray tube monitor will be easily visible from multiple angles and will do a better job with displaying images. However, a liquid crystal display monitor will be able to bring out higher quality resolution for images. Technology for this is improving though. In fact, it is easier to place on a typical desk because of the smaller width of the monitor.

The refresh quality of the monitor is another thing to think about when looking for a computer monitor. This refers to the highest number of vertical scans that a monitor can produce. A typical monitor will have a range between seventy and two hundred vertical scans per second. When the monitor has a higher number of vertical scans per second that means that monitor will be able to refresh what is on it at a faster rate. There will be less flickering when there are more vertical scans in a second.

While the number of pixels in the monitor is one of the things to think about when you consider what to look for in a computer monitor, the size of those individual pixels should be considered also. Each pixel will have a size in a specific amount of millimeters. The size will determine the dot pitch in the monitor. A typical dot pitch for a calibre monitor will be .25. This means that the pixel will be especially small and less than a millimeter in size. Overall, when the dot pitch is smaller the monitor will be better. This means that greater levels of resolution can be created on smaller monitors. That is what to look for in a computer monitor. The resolution, size, refresh quality, display and the pixel size should all be considered when looking into buying a computer monitor. Not all computer monitors will be the same, so it is important to look into all of these aspects so that it will be easier to find a monitor that is right for one?s individual needs.

Internet Filters

Advanced Internet Filtering: Keeping Your Computer Safe

With so much information stored in one place, the internet is where millions of people come to do business, research, or just communicate to each other. This metropolis if information has also become the home of many inappropriate and offensive things. This unwanted content has made itself very diverse calling for the creation of more advanced techniques with which to block it out of your computer.

Internet Filters:

Software programs, that are used to prevent some internet users from accessing unwanted content online, are called filters. They normally block out this undesired content by one of two ways: through using a predetermined list of keywords that are considered unacceptable, or using a filter based on URLs or website addresses that contain unwanted material.

These are the more common techniques but are not the only ones that are used to keep your family safe from what is hiding inside the web. Take the time to read this article so that you can be learn of the new capabilities and features that are now invovled in internet filters.

Dynamic Categorization

Dynamic categorization picks up where a keyword filter fails. Algorithms are used to determine the appropriateness of material presented on web sites. It is better than a keyword filter because it not only blocks more, but it also allows access into more sites that are harmless which are normally blocked because they possess questionable words.

Image recognition

A filter equipped with image recognition offers the ability to block inappropriate graphical images, such as photos containing pornography. Because this feature is more complex and takes a considerable amount of time to properly configure, it is not implemented into most of today?s internet filters.

Newsgroup Filtering

Newsgroups are as old as the internet itself, but not all are moderated and some contain inappropriate material. For example, you have your conversational groups that often contain sexually explicit language, visual groups that frequently post sexually related images, and extremist groups that are known for promoting racism and hatred.

Without restrictions, children can easily browse through these groups, read messages and even download obscene images. Many advanced filtering programs have the ability to restrict access to specific or all newsgroups and certain users as well.

Program Blocking

Not all programs have to allow access to the internet and using a filter you have the power to determine which ones they will be. This is accomplished using the principle of a two-wall firewall. Things like Kazaa and Limewire can be restricted from accessing the web while not restricting your mail client all by configuring your filter.

This type of filter can make it possible to make access to the internet only available through programs you specify.

Advanced Features for Enhanced Protection

The internet’s helpful information has given new windows for which potential dangers can sneek through. Because of the awareness of this threat, many companies have been created to offer protection to many situations by designing special internet filters. Thankfully we can and need to possess such programs that allow us to monitor and keep porn off of our families computers.

New Chiropractic Internet Marketing with Web 2.0 Social Media

by Dr. Matthew Loop

When utilizing social networks like Myspace, YouTube, and Facebook for your next chiropractic marketing campaign, be very careful how you proceed. You only get one shot at building credibility within your niche or local community, so, ideally you want to make sure that you receive guidance from someone who’s successfully harnessed the power of these networks already. Going at it alone will cost you thousands of dollars in mistakes, missed new patient opportunities, and a great deal of time, energy and effort learning a new language. There are also unspoken rules you must know as well if you want to be in it for the long term.

Social media is an interesting phenomenon, in the fact that, it has spread like wildfire and permanently altered the landscape and dynamics of communication as we know it. A question that is asked frequently by chiropractors is, “Are social networks just for teenagers?” In short, the answer is a whopping no! Not sure where this misconception came from but many are still oblivious to the millions of middle and older aged folks plugged in daily. Did you know that employers are actually passing laws at work because employees are literally addicted to this style of communication? As a savvy business owner and entrepreneur, I knew the implications of this immediately so I took advantage and my life hasn’t been the same since.

The internet is a vast ocean that offers the means to a much easier life. Chiropractors need to update with the changing times, as outdated and expensive ways of marketing and crippling the profession. Online web 2.0 methods have shaken the traditional chiropractic marketing paradigms at their roots and there has never been an easier time to build a massive practice or establish multiple sources of income.

I can show you exactly how to use social media to get tons of new patients into your office each month. And here’s the real prize: you aren’t going to pay one dime on advertising to do it! Your current consultant or practice management “guru” likes to pretend like they know what I’m talking about, but in reality they have no idea about what I teach, and they wish they did.

You would think every business would be using these social networks for their growth, but in reality, almost no one is! But the ones that I taught have, and they are the ones surviving and thriving in these difficult times. On one of my profiles, I have in excess of 6,400 friends, 3,000 of which are members of my local community who I can communicate with via blogs and bulletins. I’m honored to be the absolute first and only consultant to use social media’s power to unleash unbelievable wealth and attention, and only my students are privy to this priceless information.

I was able to personally establish myself as the best chiropractic expert in my community and almost automatically received countless new referrals monthly. The reputation that I have created for myself is gold in the industry, and when people go onto MySpace or YouTube looking for a doctor / chiropractor, they’re going to come up with me. People are hungry for this information, and my endless speaking engagements are proof. My goal was to improve the business and lives of practicing chiropractors and many others, and I have achieved that goal.

Begin to brainstorm on what you want to be known for in your community and you can even start to create simple videos that will showcase your talents and let the people know that you are a real person. Keep the videos under five minutes, as people have a short attention span. Also, make them fun, interactive, and interesting so folks want to hear about your next adventure or health tip of the day. If you are unsure about how to create a video and the technical aspects, my video training course will bring you up to speed in no time.

I promise that this is easier than you ever thought possible. You won’t even need a camera to get started. I started with fantastic results using screen capture software, and these simple videos spread like wildfire on the internet. Those doctors paying through the teeth for pay-per-click would love to have the free advertising tricks that I teach. It’s time to dominate Google with this free advertising technique, and ditch the dollar-per-click trap. Watch your chiropractic practice soar almost overnight!

Earn a Doctor’s Income with Affiliate Programs

by Casper Poodel

Just two things are needed to earn significant income as an online affiliate. The first is traffic, visitors to your website, ideally visitors with something defining in common (mothers, Catholics, stay at home dads, etc.). The second is at least one product or service in which they are likely to have a strong interest.

The first question you have to address is demographics, especially if you have a website that does not attract an easy to define visitors base. But, even if your visitors can be pretty well defined, there are important demographic questions to be asked and answered. Are your visitors men or women? How old are most of them? Do they have significant disposable income? Do they often make purchases online? What are their interests? What are their needs? Their buying habits?

Most important of all, why do they come to your website? What do they hope to do there? Are they looking for advice, entertainment, the solution to a medical problem, or something else?

If you do a lot of well organized thinking about who your visitors are, you’ll discover what their interests are, what they need, what they think they need (which may be very different), and what they might be willing to buy online. The products or services you choose must be a good match for your audience or it doesn’t matter how many folks visit your website. But, don’t worry, if the products or services you choose first don’t sell well, try others. It’s better to be right the first time, but it’s not a requirement.

Be sure to consider lead generation programs as well as programs which pay you on a per sale basis. Depending on the content of your site and the demographics of your visitors, they may be more interested in receiving car insurance quotes, for instance, than in buying auto accessories. Some programs pay you very well just to help them identify prospects for whatever it is they sell.

Because all sorts of companies want to build their mailing lists, you can even earn a commission when someone signs up for a coupon, a free restaurant meal, a few trial issues of a magazine, or countless other freebies.

Obviously, you want to consider programs which pay high commissions, but your own sales and/or sales leads do not have to be your only source of revenue. Try to find programs which will pay you for attracting other affiliates, particularly two and three tier programs. One program to which I belong pays me 10% of the earnings of everyone I sign up.

Be cautious and selective when choosing an affiliate program. Choose those which:

1. provide you with accurate tracking information. You need to know about what is working well for you, and what is not.

2. offer you proven advertising to add to your website.

3. offer you a quick and complete response when you have a question or a problem.

4. meet your website visitors’ needs with a high quality product or service at a fair and competitive price.

Be sure you offer your visitors a newletter, a small gift, or some other incentive to obtain their email addresses. That way, you can invite them back to your site when it changes or offer them opportunities to purchase products you believe may be of interest to them. But, do not send emails without permission, and do not send them excessively…the goal is to create trust and longterm customers.

My final suggestion to you is a bit of advice I was given by one of the most successful marketers I’ve ever met. Continue to track and analyze the results of everything you do.
